    Hi,
Great post. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for. I’m not completely clear on one thing, though. I want to give my brother a Kindle ebook for Christmas but don’t want him to know until that day. If I select 12/25 as the delivery date, will he get an email notification before that date or will he only get the notification on 12/25? I just want to make sure the surprise won’t get ruined. I’d really appreciate a swift reply if possible. Thank you so much!!

      Hi Janna,

Thanks for visiting! Amazon is very consistent with sending a email notification on the delivery date.

Amazon’s note says: when you choose a delivery date, the e-mail notification will be sent to your gift recipient between 12:00 AM and 3 AM Pacific Time on the delivery date.

So, if you choose 12/25 as your delivery date, then your brother won’t get an email notification before the 12/25. He will get it on the 25th of december between 12:00 AM and 3 AM PST (Amazon’s headquarter is in Seattle, PST).

So, you’ll have to take the following two questions into consideration: Does your brother live in the USA or Canada? If yes, does he live in the Pacific Time Zone (PTZ a.k.a PST)?

I hope that it’ll answer your question. Don’t hesitate to ask me, should you have any other question, though.

      Greetings, Lia
