There is absolutely no denying that the summertime is almost over. In fact, according to the latest local weather forecast, today is the very last day of a sunny,Β hot warm summer day this year.


Afterward, it is going to be a lot of rain and thunderstorms across the whole country. There is also the high probability of small hail and gusty winds this weekend. Unfortunately, there is neither the chilling time nor gardening time on the balcony for me anymore.

What you need to do:


  1. WashΒ the fish tank thoroughly using natural dish soap.
  2. (Air) dry the fish tank.
  3. Cover the bottom of the fish tank with the marbles for drainage.
  4. Put 90% of the potting soil into the fish tank.
  5. Moisten the potting soil lightly but thoroughly with some water.
  6. Spread the herb seed over the potting soil.
  7. Cover the herb seed with 10% of the potting soil.
  8. Place the fish tank where it can get full sunlight (mine is on my windowsill).
  9. Water them regularly but do not overwater.

Always make sure thatΒ your herb garden is free from bugs and other insects. And if you spot them, you can use a homemade natural spray, which contains 1 part of water and 1 part of dish soap to get rid of the bugs and keep your herb garden organic in the same time.
