Amazon Send to Kindle

I have received lots of questions from my readers about whether it’s possible and how to send pictures, maps, family trees, other images and various documents to their Kindle Paperwhite. The answer is simple: Yes and yes, and it really depends on what type of file (format) those images and documents are.

The Kindle Paperwhite supports the following file types (format):

  • Kindle Format (.MOBI, .AZW)
  • Microsoft Word (.DOC, .DOCX)
  • HTML (.HTML, .HTM)
  • RTF (.RTF)
  • JPEG (.JPEG, .JPG)
  • GIF (.GIF)
  • PNG (.PNG)
  • BMP (.BMP)
  • PDF (.PDF)

It means that if your images and documents are in the mentioned above format then yes, you can send them to your Kindle Paperwhite using theย Amazon Send to Kindle app. If not, then you’ll have to convert them into the mentioned above format first using, for instance, Calibre and then send them to your Kindle Paperwhite.
